Working with Paul
Gale-Baker
B.A., Dip.Ed., M.Couns. Clinical Member C.A.P.A.V.
I am a highly qualified and experienced counsellor and
therapist in private practice in the suburb of Alphington, Melbourne,
Australia.
|
I am trained in family therapy, family-sensitive counselling
and couple therapy. I hold a Master of Counselling degree (La Trobe). Other training includes the study of deeper
individual therapy, including the Voice Dialogue Method (a communication
and self-exploration tool), which I teach to health care professionals
throughout Australia.
I am committed to ensuring the work I do is effective and meets
best-practice standards. To this end I maintain an ongoing professional
development program, including study of the latest research.
In my Masters degree I completed new research into couples
therapy.
My deep interest in relationship counselling is also informed
by my personal life. As a husband, and as a father and step father
of adult children, I am profoundly
aware of the importance of good relationship for the health of
couples and families.
In addition to my practice, I am a Director of the Australian Institute for Relational Training, which provides training for
healthcare professionals, as well as courses in relationship
and personal growth for members of the public. I speak publicly
and write on issues of relationship.
I am the author of Relationship Essentials and co-author of Developing a Truly Intimate Relationship,
both available as Ebooks.
I am a clinical member of the Counsellors and Psychotherapists
Association of Victoria (CAPAV), a member organisation of the
Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia. I am
bound by the ethical code of these organisations. You can find
out more about these organisations by visiting their websites:
